Major Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Determines escrow requirements by reviewing and clarifying buyer, seller, realtor, and lender instructions
  • Obtains clear title by reviewing title reports; resolving title defects; satisfying liens and encumbrances against property
  • Verifies taxes, assessments, water, and homeowner’s association dues
  • Prorates taxes and association dues to specific purchase agreement and local customs
  • Prepares transaction documents by completing forms and statements and /or collecting and reviewing existing documents
  • Answers routine customer service questions
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in the title insurance industry or a related industry, a plus
  • An image that displays confidence, helpfulness and professionalism
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • The ability to function as a team player in a fast-paced environment
  • Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations
  • Use Information Technology to save time
  • Knowledge of MS Office Products
  • Candidate will need to obtain Michigan Resident Producer License within 4 months of hire date
