The American Land Title Association (“ALTA”) has adopted revisions to the
ALTA Commitment for Title Insurance effective August 1, 2016.
The previous version of the ALTA Commitment for Title Insurance will be decertified on December 31, 2017. Realtors, lenders, sellers, purchaser, and attorneys can expect to see the new form put into use later in 2017. A sample of the document is available for review at the below link.
