We are looking for a detail-oriented, service minded professional to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being the conduit between realtors, lenders, buyers, and sellers to move real estate transactions forward to the closing table.
What You’ll Do:
- Determines escrow requirements by reviewing and clarifying buyer, seller, realtor, and lender instructions.
- Obtains clear title by reviewing title reports; resolving title defects; satisfying liens and encumbrances against property.
- Verifies taxes, assessments, water, and homeowner’s association dues.
- Prorates taxes and association dues to specific purchase agreement and local customs.
- Prepares transaction documents by completing forms and statements and /or collecting and reviewing existing documents.
- Answers routine customer service questions.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
What We’re Looking For:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple files simultaneously
- Comfort working with deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Clear, confident communication skills – verbal and written
- A collaborative, solution-oriented mindset
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and follow-through
- 3+ years of experience in the title insurance industry or a related real estate or lending industry position
- Candidate will need to obtain Michigan Resident Producer License and become a Michigan Notary Public within 3 months of hire date
