Any non-perishable food item is welcome and you will receive a raffle ticket for each can or box of food provided to be entered in our Holiday drawing.
In southeast Michigan, more than 707,000 people are food insecure (16.8%). In southeast Michigan, more than 200,000 children are food insecure (19.7%). The St. Vincent de Paul Society works to lower these numbers by providing food to those in need. They are looking for donations of non-perishable food, especially high protein items which do not require cooking. Examples are: canned meats and fish, such as tuna, chicken, salmon and spam; chili; canned vegetables; canned fruit; canned soups; peanut butter and bulk trail mix.
