Title: Closing Coordinator

          Location: Sterling Heights

Major Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Determines escrow requirements by reviewing and clarifying buyer, seller, realtor, and lender instructions
  • Obtains clear title by reviewing title reports; resolving title defects; satisfying liens and encumbrances against property
  • Verifies taxes, assessments, water, and homeowner’s association dues
  • Prorates taxes and association dues to specific purchase agreement and local customs
  • Communicates with all parties in the transaction to coordinate and schedule a timely closing
  • Answers routine customer service questions
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned


  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years experience in the title insurance industry or a related industry preferred
  • Use Information Technology to work efficiently and timely
  • Knowledge of MS Office Applications
  • Knowledge of ResWare, a plus
  • An image that displays confidence, helpfulness and professionalism
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Candidate will need to obtain Michigan Resident Producer License within 4 months of hire date
